FLC is looking for a Vessel Technical Superintendent to manage the technical state of our heavy lift barges used in transport, positioning and installation of the tunnel elements on the project.

The Vessel Technical Superintendent will be responsible for keeping the vessels in optimum operational state throughout the project.

The ideal candidate will have a background in offshore construction (heavy lift), mission equipment (winches), integrated systems or subsea application in hydraulics or electrics.

Who is FLC?

Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals and ramps. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects. Together, we are committed to working together to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals and ramps, delivered on time and safely, in a sustainable and ethical manner.

Main responsibilities(but not limited to):

  • Ensures a minimum of downtime by assessing and planning the maintenance or repair works in alignment with the operations works.
  • Interact with Class, Flag state and ensure compliance to related conventions and legislation.
  • Actively propose maintenance plans by detailing working methods and improvement of procedures 
  • Manage spare parts procurement, logistics, stock and consumption.
  • Collaborate with other departments and support Operations team.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • BSc / MSc degree in Maritime Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 years+ experience in a technical role within the offshore/maritime domain, preferably on construction vessels
  • Experience in working with CMMS
  • Understanding of the legislative and regulatory requirements for marine assets.
  • Good command of English, written and spoken, Danish or German is advantageous.
  • Problem solver, resilient, good communication skills and taking initiative.
